History of the department:

The department "Chemistry, Chemical Technology and Ecology" was founded in 2005. The training of specialists is carried out under the license of Series АА №0000188, 12.06.03 of MES RK. Training is conducted in Russian and Kazakh languages.

Graduates of the 5B072100 specialty - “Chemical technology of organic substances” may engage in the following activities: technology of petrochemical synthesis, technology of preparation, extraction and transportation of hydrocarbons, chemical technology of catalytic processes of hydrocarbons, chemical technology of biologically active substances, chemical technology of using hydrocarbonshydrocarbon raw materials.

The sphere of professional activity of graduates of the specialty 5В073100 - “Life Safety and Environmental Protection” are industrial, agricultural and municipal enterprises, government bodies in the field of life activity and environmental protection.

Graduates of the specialty 5В060800 - “Ecology” can engage in such activities as organizational and managerial planning and organization of environmental control services, industrial and technological collection and analysis of materials for environmental impact assessment, certification of industrial enterprises.

Since 2008, the department of ХХТиЭ has been recruiting to the magistracy in the specialty 6M072100 - “Chemical technology of organic substances”. The training is carried out by highly qualified personnel, doctors and candidates of science, professors and associate professors of the university and other research organizations.

         The educational program, implemented by the university named after 5B060800-Ecology, is designed to meet the needs of the regional labor market, the requirements of the regulatory documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is a system of documents for organizing the educational process.

The educational program regulates the objectives, expected results, content, conditions and technologies for the implementation of the educational process, an assessment of the quality of graduate training in this area of training and contains a description of the program and directions of the graduate's professional activities, learning outcomes and acquired competencies, policies evaluating learning outcomes, organization of the educational process, providing quality training of students, the description of the modules that make up the educational program grammar, methodological materials to ensure the implementation of appropriate educational technologies.

The content of the educational program is implemented through a curriculum developed in a modular format, in which three cycles of disciplines are provided for the first level of education: the cycle of general education, the cycle of basic disciplines and the cycle of majors, as well as additional types of training (professional practice, physical education, etc. ) and final certification.

The cycle of general education disciplines consists of disciplines of the obligatory component with a total volume of 33 credits.

The cycle of basic disciplines includes 20 credits of compulsory component disciplines and 44 credits of optional disciplines.

The cycle of specialized disciplines includes 5 credits of the obligatory component disciplines and 27 credits of the disciplines of the component of choice.

Elective disciplines are divided into courses and semesters, taking into account the logical sequence of study disciplines.

The main criterion of completeness of the educational process for the preparation of a bachelor’s degree is the mastery of at least 129 credits of theoretical education, as well as at least 10 practice credits, at least 2 credits for preparing, writing and defending a thesis (project) and at least 1 credit for preparing and submitting State exam in the specialty.
