GENERAL INFORMATION

The department"Information Technologies"was organized in August 2010 due to the reorganization of the department "General Education Disciplines". The department trains bachelors and masters in the specialty 5B070300 and 6M070300 - Information Systems. Training is conducted in the Kazakh and Russian languages. Educational and scientific activities of the department are carried out by 24 teachers, of which 2 are doctors of science, 11 are candidates of science, 11 masters of technical sciences.

Currently, the department is headed by Ph.D., Assoc. Professor Abdoldinova G.T. The department has laboratories of physics, the theory of electrical circuits and circuit design, offices of information systems, programming, computer modeling, which are connected to the Internet. Lecture halls are equipped with interactive multimedia equipment.

The purpose of the department is to train specialists who meet the needs of the market of modern IT industries and make a significant contribution to the world and national educational space in accordance with the requirements of professional education standards and the state program of Digital Kazakhstan.

The educational activity of the department is based on the world's scientific heritage and innovative educational technologies. The department uses active forms and methods of organizing the educational process, encourages innovation and student involvement in the research process, develops cooperation with the departments of the leading universities of Kazakhstan, Russia, and abroad, as well as with state and commercial enterprises.

The department trains specialists in undergraduate and graduate programs in the specialty: "Information Systems" in the state and Russian languages of instruction.

Graduates of the specialty "Information Systems" carry out their work activities at enterprises and organizations of various forms of ownership, developing, implementing and operating information systems in various fields of human activity and can competently carry out work on the design, operation, administration, maintenance, testing and provision of software and hardware protection.

The department is working on the creation of a research laboratory "Center for ICT Competence." The goal of the “Center for ICT Competences” is to disseminate innovative pedagogical / managerial experience, pedagogical technologies, and authoring programs that help increase the level of professional competence of educational specialists and their adaptation in certain educational institutions.

Abdoldinova Gulsim Tulegenovna, candidate of pedagogical sciences, assoc. Professor, Head of the Department of Information Technologies in the framework of the Erasmus + program, visited Bialystok University of Technology in Bialystok (Poland) from May 15, 2017 to May 19, 2017 and Maribor (Slovenia) University of Maribor, 5.03-10.03.2018

In accordance with the program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan to attract foreign specialists, Igor Ivanovich Kochegarov, a professor from Penza State University, was invited to the Information Technologies department in the period from October 15 to November 15, 2018.

The purpose of the visit is the development of new educational methods used in leading foreign educational institutions, the exchange of knowledge and experience with colleagues from foreign universities. Also this visit can promote the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of pedagogical methods, the creation of links between higher education institutions.

In the period from May 10 to 12, 2017, the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating by an external expert commission on evaluation for compliance with the requirements of the standards of specialized accreditation of educational programs were successfully accredited in the specialties 5В070300 - "Information Systems" and 6М070300 - "Information Systems"

The educational program, implemented by the university on the specialty 5B070300 - Information Systems, was developed taking into account the needs of the regional labor market, the requirements of the regulatory documents of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is a system of documents for organizing the educational process and is aimed at obtaining high theoretical and practical training by university graduates.

The educational program of the specialty 5В070300 - Information Systems regulates the objectives, expected results, content, conditions and technologies for the implementation of the educational process, assessment of the quality of graduate training in this field of study, as well as the characteristics of the program and the direction of the graduate's professional activities; learning outcomes and competencies acquired; learning outcomes assessment policy; organization of the educational process, ensuring the quality of training of students: a description of the modules that make up the educational program, teaching materials that ensure the implementation of appropriate educational technologies.

In order to increase the effectiveness of the implementation of the educational program in the specialty “5В070300 –Information systems”, there are measures aimed at:

On the basis of the specialty 5В070300 –Information systems in the 2018-2019 academic year, the implementation of two educational programs of higher and postgraduate education is envisaged:

1. Information systems and software engineering (bachelor degree).

The specialty "Software Engineering" makes it possible to realize oneself in various areas of professional activity:
